MY STORY
Throughout my childhood-adolescence years my mother was suffering with depression. Later on, I found out it was all related to the sexual abuse that she experienced when she was a child.
As you can imagine, those were very painful years for me, until I started my own therapeutic process and decided to become a therapist to use my own personal experience to empower other young women who are ready to take control of their lives, and find healing. I’ve also become a sexual abuse prevention advocate and treatment expert.
During my young adult years, I was able to rebuild my life, and I have been on a journey of female empowerment since then. Having experienced trauma as a child made me grow as an empathic therapist who can now relate to my client's struggles. As a therapist who was able to heal, I can show you the way!
Along with my License in Marriage and Family Therapy I also hold a Clinical Psychologist Degree from my home country, Venezuela plus over 10 years of experience as a therapist. I've also loved my work as a Clinical Supervisor in several Mental Health Clinics and as an Adjunct Professor in the Psychology Department of Golden Gate University (Masters in Psychology). I founded Psychotherapy for Young Women in 2015 and it's truly magical to see it grow into this empowering group practice that it is now. I believe in the power of therapy and how it can change our lives forever!
